Liu Laolao's Sichuan pepper oil is crafted from the finest Dazhongpao and Jinyang green Sichuan peppers, delivering a deliciously fragrant and numbing flavor without the heat. It’s a favorite among many chefs and food enthusiasts, perfect for enhancing dishes. Just add a few drops to your stir-fried dishes according to your taste, and you’ll double the deliciousness! It can be used in a variety of ways, such as in noodles, dumplings, braised dishes, soups, porridge, cold dishes, and even in unexpected pairings with Western, Japanese cuisine, pasta, and cocktails.



At 96 years old, Liu Laolao was born in Guangdong, while Liu Laoye grew up in Chongqing, Sichuan, where he mastered the family recipe for Sichuan pepper oil. After they met and married in Taiwan, they lived in the Trade Ten Village, a military dependents’ village in Gangshan. In this resource-scarce community, meals often lacked variety, featuring only bland noodles and simple fare. However, with the addition of Liu’s specially crafted fragrant pepper oil, even the plainest meals became flavorful and memorable, leaving the children eagerly cleaning their plates. Neighbors soon heard about this "pepper oil that transforms plain meals into delicious ones" and would bring empty jars to fill with it. This pepper oil became a cherished tradition in Trade Ten Village. After Liu Laoye's unexpected passing, Liu Laolao continued to pass down the recipe, and she now makes it alongside her granddaughter.

Usage Instructions: Add a few drops of the pepper oil to your dish after cooking for flavor enhancement.
